Natural Planting with African Violet

We offer a large selection of miniature tropical houseplants that are ideal for container gardens.  Or, grow them as individual specimens!

These are truly small plants, that are small-leaved and have a small growth habit.  They are not "stripped" down or immature larger plants!  Because of this they can be used in small containers, and with some minimal maintenance, will continue to look attractive and not outgrow the space.

Pictured at left:  A 'natural planting' created by Olive

It uses many of the materials listed here.
The miniature violet shown is 'Rob's Twinkle Pink'

Care for most of these plants is the same as for African violets, with some very minor differences.  For example, Oxalis and mosses prefer a bit more moisture.  Though not necessary all will thrive in the high humidity of a terrarium, for which their size is ideal.  Ours are grown in the open, both under artificial and natural light.

Small cuttings are shown below to illustrate leaf shape, size, and texture.  Plants themselves will look much fuller in appearance.  Because most of these plants are branching, or spreading, in habit, they can be grown as much larger plants--though they will always remain small-leaved!  With proper care and pruning, they can easily be grown as small as you choose.

Price: $5.00 each  unless noted otherwise
