the African violet and gesneriad grower! Mary is one of our customers who designs her own jewelry. She sent Olive a freshwater pearl necklace as a gift. We were looking for African violet-related decorative items for the "show room" in the Violet Barn, and her jewelry seemed appropriate. We invited Mary to create some jewelry, with the specific theme of African violets and related Gesneriads. All of Mary's jewelry is designed by her, and hand-made
from semiprecious stones, genuine pearls, and Swarovski crystals. Each
stone, pearl, or crystal is suspended from a component which resembles African
violet, streptocarpus, or other gesneriad flowers. The metal components
are sterling silver and pewter. Chains are sterling silver or 14k
gold-filled. The gemstones that Mary chose are currently hot items--these
